Man Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle on Loop 202

TEMPE, AZ – A man was struck and killed on Sunday night after he walked into the eastbound traffic lanes of Loop 202 near Loop 101.
ABC 15 reports that the incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on August 8.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
The man’s vehicle was discovered in Loop 202’s westbound lanes. Authorities reported that it is possible the man may have been trying to safely exit the highway at the time of the collision.
