PHOENIX, AZ – Two people were killed and two others were hurt on Saturday night after a motorcycle collided with a passenger vehicle in northwest Phoenix.
According to KTAR, 30-year-old Shawn Stokes was riding his motorcycle near 39th Drive and Camelback Road at about 9:15 p.m. that night when he collided with a vehicle carrying two women and a teenager.
Stokes and one of the women in the vehicle he struck were pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as 46-year-old Diana Fletes.
The vehicle’s driver and a teenaged passenger were treated for minor injuries.
Investigators believe speed may have played a role in the fatal crash.
