Monday Crash Results in One Death, One Serious Injury

A head-on crash in Yuma on Monday morning, Sept. 21 left one dead and another seriously injured. The accident happened on Highway 95 and County 12 1/2 Street. A 2019 Toyota Camry was heading northbound on Highway 95 when it crossed over the center lane and collided with a 2013 Chrysler 300 that was heading the opposite direction, according to Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the Camry, 58-year-old Oscar Leon, died at the scene. The driver of the Chrysler, 19-year-old Alan Munoz Jacquez, was transported to a Yuma hospital and later flown to a Phoenix hospital with serious injuries.
