Suspect in Fatal Easter Sunday Hit-and-Run Arrested

PHOENIX, AZ – Police have arrested the woman they believe is responsible for a fatal hit-and-run collision that took place at a North Phoenix intersection on Easter Sunday, 12 News reports.

Authorities allege that Melissa J. Truax struck a woman near the intersection of E Cactus Road and N Cave Creek Road and then fled the scene. The unidentified victim died because of the collision.

Police later arrested Truax at home. She faces unspecified charges.
