Woman Killed in Suspected Drunk Driving Accident

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed Sunday evening when a suspected drunk driver crashed head on into her vehicle.

According to ABC 15, the accident occurred at about 6 p.m. near the intersection of 29th Avenue and Bell Road. Police say the driver of a Dodge Durango crossed the median and collided with a Toyota Camry. The initial impact forced the Toyota into a nearby wall and killed its driver, 48-year-old Tran Viet Truong.

The driver of the Dodge, a 64-year-old man who has not been publicly identified, was hospitalized in serious condition. Police believe he may have been impaired when the crash occurred.
