SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A driver was taken into custody after a wrong-way collision resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Loop 101 early Wednesday morning.
According to ABC 15, police received reports of an SUV traveling south in the northbound lanes of Loop 101 shortly after 3 a.m. Moments later, the SUV collided head-on with a motorcycle near Chaparral Road.
Troopers pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene, while the driver of the SUV was uninjured. The unidentified suspect was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
