Motorcyclist Killed by Suspected Impaired Driver

handcuffs with police officer badgePHOENIX, AZ – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision caused by a suspected impaired driver in south Phoenix on Saturday afternoon.

According to a report by Fox 10 Phoenix, 29-year-old David Moreno was turning left onto 18th Street from Southern Avenue at about 3 p.m. when his sedan struck a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, 48-year-old Robert Moore, was thrown onto the roof of the car. Moreno briefly stopped before continuing down Southern Ave. with Moore still on the roof.

Moore fell off the sedan at some point before it collided with two additional vehicles. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Moreno was located and arrested after showing signs of impairment.
