PHOENIX, AZ – A bicyclist suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Laveen on Tuesday night.
According to a 12 News report, the man was hit while riding near Baseline Road and 71st Avenue at about 5:50 p.m. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he later died. His identity has not yet been released.
The driver responsible for the crash fled the scene before first responders arrived. Authorities are continuing to search for that individual.
