Eastbound I-10 Crash Leads to Large Vehicular Fire

A crash followed by a large vehicular fire brought traffic to a halt on Interstate 10 Friday afternoon, Aug. 14, according to a report by Arizona’s Family news. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the interstate around 2 p.m. between Estrella and Bullard in the Goodyear area, blocking traffic in both directions. The Loop 303 transition ramp to I-10 EB was also shut down.

Arizona Department of Transportation cameras in the area showed what looked to be a crash near the median. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a car carrier. Flames could be seen rising into the air, and the smoke was visible for miles. It is not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the crash.
