Teen Driver Pulled from Gilbert Pond After Crash

GILBERT, AZ – Bystanders jumped into action, pulling the teen driver from her vehicle as it sank into a pond in a Gilbert neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

According to CBS 5, the unidentified 16-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle at about 3 p.m. and crashed into a community pond near the intersection of Cooper Road and Warner Road.

Witnesses to the crash, including a tow truck driver, quickly worked to pull the teen from her vehicle and stop it from sinking further into the water. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
