According to a report by CBS 5, the crash happened at about 11:30 p.m. on October 17, 2020, near Glendale Avenue and Agua Fria Shore.

Investigators say that Francine San Miguel, then 29, was traveling west at speeds up to 100 mph when her 2013 Nissan Altima rammed the back of a 2019 Nissan Sentra. The force of the impact sent the Sentra into the oncoming lane, where it struck a 2013 Mazda3.

The Sentra’s front-seat passenger, 20-year-old Jadalynn Faith Pasion, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old in the back seat was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Driver Eugene Morada, 21, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Mazda’s sole occupant suffered minor injuries and was released from the scene.

San Miguel’s passenger also appears to have been injured in the crash, although CBS 5 did not provide any specifics.

San Miguel’s blood-alcohol level was found to be over twice the legal limit at the time of the fatal crash. She was arrested on Wednesday at her home. She is currently facing a number of charges including second-degree murder, DUI, aggravated assault, speeding, and endangerment.
