CHANDLER, AZ – Atwo-vehicle accidentoccurred this morning just east of downtown Chandler. According to AZFamily’s news report, the rear-end collision happened near Commonwealth Place and McQueen Road.
Police reported that a driver struck another vehicle from behind, causing it to lose control. The vehicle hit a concrete drainage system before crashing into a nearby apartment building.
The driver who rear-ended the second vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police at the scene believe there is enough evidence that alcohol was involved. An arrest may follow, once the driver is released from the hospital, on charges that include an aggravated DUI and felony endangerment.
The other driver only suffered minor injuries. First responders treated and released the victim at the scene.
