PHOENIX, AZ – A five-vehicle collision on I-17 left one woman in critical condition early Wednesday morning.
According to KTAR, the collision took place shortly after midnight in the southbound lanes of I-17 at Camelback Road.
Emergency crews extricated a woman from her vehicle. She was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, the exit ramp was closed for several hours as a result.
