- Teacher Killed in Apache Junction Car Accident | Legal News | News Ticker
Everyone understands that when an Arizona car accident occurs, everyone in the area is placed in an immediate situation of risk and danger. However, one of the most overlooked yet most dangerous times in relation to a crash is the immediate aftermath. Tragically, that immediate aftermath proved to be deadly for a teacher who was killed in an Apache Junction car accident moments after an initial crash had occurred that had left him relatively unharmed. Police are still investigating the situation.
According to authorities, this Apache Junction car accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. this morning when Sat Guru Singh Khalsa, 61, was driving his scooter in an eastbound direction on Broadway Avenue near Meridian Road. Just then, Gene Burns turned his vehicle to the right and into the path of the man, and the two collided. The initial crash did not lead to injuries, but as the two men were discussing the incident with Joseph Sammarzo, a good Samaritan, 27-year-old Matthew Crane came upon the scene and did not stop in time to avoid hitting the men. Mr. Khalsa was killed as a result of the impact and Mr. Sammarazo injured his leg. No one else was injured in the crash.

If such a lawsuit is filed and is successful, it could lead to an award of damages that compensates the family for their medical, funeral and burial costs as well as their lost income and their loss of companionship.
