North Phoenix Crash on I-17 Leaves One Pedestrian Dead

According to CBS 5, troopers with Arizona Highway Patrol were called to the scene near Bell Road at about 9:30 p.m.

The pedestrian had been seen walking along the gore in the area shortly before being hit by a car. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The driver who struck the pedestrian is cooperating with the investigation. It is unclear if any charges will be filed at this time.
