- One Dead, Three Seriously Injured in Wrong-Way Phoenix Car Accident | Legal News | News Ticker
There are certain actions taken by motorists on the road that could be classified as negligent, and others that could be accurately described as reckless. However, some situations could lead to the use of the word depraved. While much more needs to be understood regarding a Phoenix car accident that occurred last night that killed a wrong-way driver and seriously injured her two small children and a pregnant woman in another vehicle, the scene for anyone was horrifying. Police are attempting to obtain information that could help explain this disaster.
According to authorities, this wrong-way, fatal Phoenix car accident occurred last night at approximately 8 p.m. on State Route 101 near 51st Avenue. A 45-year-old woman was driving the wrong way on State Route 101 with two children in the car. None of the occupants in that vehicle were wearing seat belts. That vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle containing a pregnant woman, and this person was seriously injured in the crash. Fortunately, she was listed in stable condition, and it appears that the children in the vehicle with the wrong-way driver will survive.
Arizona Car Accident Statistics
First and foremost, we’d like to express our condolences to the family and friends of the woman who was killed and to those children who were a part of this terrifying scene. We also hope that the pregnant woman who was injured is able to recover and that her baby is safe. In addition, this Phoenix car accident will now become part of the overall statistics regarding Arizona car accidents. Every year, 65,000 people are injured and more than 1,000 people are killed in these occurrences.
Phoenix Personal Injury Lawyers
Despite the fact that it may seem harsh, the reality is that the pregnant woman did nothing wrong to cause this crash, she has been seriously injured and she does have legal rights like anyone else. Therefore, it’s possible that she could bring an Arizona personal injury lawsuit against the estate of the wrong-way driver, and if such a claim was filed and was successful she could recover damages that compensate her for her medical costs, lost income and pain and suffering.
