Mother Dies after Being Hit by Car

On March 10, Lorrie Murdock was walking on a sidewalk in Glendale with her two daughters and a family friend, when they were struck by a car.

The Arizona Republic reports that the accident happened around 10 p.m., when a man was driving eastbound and lost control of his car as he tried to avoid crashing into a black SUV that turned in front of him. The driver of the vehicle lost control and went on to the sidewalk, where Murdock, her daughters and friend were walking. Murdocks daughters and friend are recovering from their injuries.

The Glendale police are still looking for the driver of the SUV because he failed to stop after the accident. Anyone with information on the black SUV can call police at 623-930-3000.
