Another Million Dollar Verdict Secured for Client

A police officer hired the firm after he was injured following a routine stop of a school bus. As he was exiting the bus at the end of the check, the bus driver closed the door on the officer, causing him to fall out of the bus. The fall from the bus to the ground, caused significant injuries, including traumatic brain injury and injuries to his neck and back.

Ledbetter Law Firm defended the case through the use of a number of scorched earth tactics, fiercely fighting liability and causation. The defendants claimed that the plaintiff had many pre-existing injuries and utilized typical defenses of malingering and secondary gain.

Despite these difficult tactics and several failed attempts at mediation, the Phillips Law Group team prevailed in securing a trial in front of Judge Paupore in Camp Verde. After hearing arguments for both sides, the jury for the case quickly returned a verdict of one million dollars for the injured officer.
