PEORIA, AZ – Two people suffered injuries resulting from a wrong-way collision on SR 303 in Peoria on Monday night.
According to ABC 15, the crash took place at about 8:50 p.m., as the driver of a white vehicle was travelingnorthbound in the southbound lanesof the freeway near Lake Pleasant Parkway.
Police say a black vehicle was struck head-on by the wrong-way driver after attempting to veer out of the way. One vehicle ended up in the median, while the other became disabled in the far left lane.
The driver in the at-fault vehicle was hospitalized in unknown condition. The other driver was treated for their injuries at the scene.
It is unclear whether criminal charges have been filed against the wrong-way driver.
