Ground Beef Recall in Arizona

Arizona residents must take caution before consuming ground beef. In response to the 16 people who have suffered illness due to salmonella food poisoning, the federal health officials have issued a warning to residents in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Arizona. Ground beef is often susceptible to the dangers associated with uncooked meat.

While to fatalities have been recorded as of yet, about half of the 16 people who have suffered from salmonella poisoning were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. After seven people consumed a dish called kibbeh at a Detroit restaurant last month, reports have continued to circulate regarding the dangers of ground beef.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a recall of the ground beef and notes that the recent recall may be associated with the 1,000 pounds of ground beef in Gab Helal Foods in Troy and Jouni Meats in Sterling Heights, two Michigan food businesses.
