Phillips Law Group has been going strong this summer when it comes to connecting with\u00a0“https:\/\/phillipslaw.com\/about-us\/community-involvement\/”and we are excited to announce that we have established yet another promising volunteer partnership. Phillips Law Group is teaming up with Project Connect and\u00a0Human Services Campus\u00a0for their community outreach program that aims to address the needs of underserved individuals and the homeless.<\/p>\n
Project Connect is a one-day event offering wrap-around services to people at risk of or experiencing homelessness,\u201d the Human Services Campus website reveals. \u201cProject Connect meets people where they are with all of the most essential solutions provided by more than 20 state, federal, and non-profit organizations. -Jackie Velez<\/p>\n
On August 16th, Phillips Law Group\u2019s Community Outreach Coordinator Jackie Velez attended one of these events in the hopes of connecting with other organizations involved in the project. Our firm has a deep commitment to serving the community, particularly in the area of helping the homeless population in Arizona, so it was the perfect opportunity to team up with Project Connect and begin a great new partnership.<\/p>\n
According to the Human Services Campus website, at a Project Connect event, \u201can individual can receive a new state ID, a new set of clothes, a shower, healthcare, social security benefits, a meal, housing assistance, and so much more.\u201d<\/p>\n
Around 150 guests are served at every Project Connect event, where volunteers handle everything from set up to breakdown. They provide assistance, help guests navigate the event and the participating organizations there, and so much more.<\/p>\n
Like many of our other volunteer partnerships, Project Connect is a way to give back to the community and to our unhoused neighbors in particular. Phillips Law Group is proud to begin a new collaboration with the program, and we plan to regularly take part in Project Connect events in the future.<\/p>\n
Project Connect takes place in a different Valley location every 4-6 weeks, and Phillips Law Group will participate and have a table at their next event, Project Connect in the City of Avondale. We are honored to be included in a group of providers appearing at the event which has included amazing organizations like\u00a0A New Leaf, the Homeless ID Project, St. Vincent de Paul, Valley of the Sun United Way, and many more in the past.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
