Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Two Cars

fatal-hit-and-run-phoenixPHOENIX, AZ – A driver fled the scene after striking a woman in northwest Phoenix late Sunday night, ABC 15 reports.

Responding officers believe 29-year-old Adriana Cueves was hit by two vehicles heading south on Grand Ave near 39th Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. that night. The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene before they arrived.

The second driver remained at the scene of the crash. Cueves was pronounced dead there a short time later.

It is unclear if Cueves was in a designated crosswalk when the accident occurred. The hit-and-run driver has not been located as of Wednesday.
