TEMPE, AZ – Multiple people sustained serious injuries following a wrong-way collision on Loop 202 Thursday night.

According to KTAR, the four-vehicle crash was reported at about 11:15 p.m. and took place in the westbound lanes of Loop 202 near the Center Parkway interchange. A 37-year-old Illinois woman driving the wrong way slammed into three other vehicles.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says some people were seriously injured in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

Investigations are ongoing.
