Police Release Identity of Pedestrian Killed in Crash

PHOENIX, AZ – Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety have released the identity of the victim in a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on I-17 last Friday.

According to ABC 15, 25-year-old Peoria resident Ashley M. Corrado was struck while walking along the interstate near Loop 303 shortly after 2 a.m.

No further information about the driver has been released. However, the vehicle involved was discovered abandoned nearby shortly after the incident.

Investigators are working to determine why Corrado was walking in the busy roadway at the time of the crash.
