Fatal Collision in Phoenix Involving Semi-Truck

PHOENIX, AZ ”“ A man was killed and two others were injured when an SUV collided with a semi-truck southwest of downtown Phoenix on Wednesday evening, CBS 5 reports.

Authorities say that a Chevrolet SUV traveling east on Grant Street ran a red light at the I-17 northbound Frontage Road and was T-boned by a semi-truck.

A male passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman driving the SUV suffered minor injuries, as did the truck’s driver. A passenger in the semi was not hurt.

Further investigations are ongoing.
