- 2-Year-Old Boy Badly Injured in Tucson Car Accident | Legal News | News Ticker
Small children are supposed to be strapped into protective car seats in order to help prevent them from suffering serious injuries or worse when crashes occur. Unfortunately, even these sturdy devices are sometimes not enough to keep a child from harm when violent collisions occur. Sadly, that appears to have been the case with a terrible Tucson car accident that occurred yesterday that seriously injured a 2-year-old boy. He was ejected from his vehicle despite being strapped into a protective car seat, and police are continuing to investigate the situation.
According to authorities, this violent Tucson car accident occurred yesterday at approximately 6 p.m. at the intersection of Irvington Road and Joseph Avenue. While the details are scarce, what is known is that a car and and SUV collided, and the force of the impact sent the SUV rolling over. The SUV rolled towards a school bus carrying 11 children, but fortunately a collision between those two vehicles was avoided. However, the toddler was ejected from the vehicle and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He is currently being monitored in the ICU.
